Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of Janasi, a digital receptionist platform created and operated by Sacyric Services, based in Mlolongo, Kenya.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, accessing Janasi, or using Janasi services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Janasi on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the service.

2. The Janasi Service

Janasi provides businesses with a digital receptionist designed to help manage customer conversations and related service workflows.

Depending on the configuration and subscription, Janasi may assist with customer questions, service information, recommendations, appointment booking, rescheduling, cancellations, follow-ups, conversation context and escalation to members of the business's team.

Janasi operates according to information, rules, services, policies, availability and other instructions supplied or configured by the business.

3. Accounts and Access

Businesses are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activity carried out through their accounts.

You must provide information that is reasonably accurate and keep important account information up to date.

You must promptly notify Sacyric Services if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization or if its credentials have been compromised.

4. Business Responsibilities

A business using Janasi is responsible for the information and instructions it provides to the service.

Businesses are responsible for:

5. Customer Interactions

Janasi may communicate with customers on behalf of a participating business. Customers should understand that Janasi is acting as that business's digital receptionist rather than as an independent representative of Sacyric Services.

A business remains responsible for the services it provides, its prices, policies, appointments, refunds, staff decisions and other commitments made to its customers.

6. AI-Assisted Features

Some Janasi functionality may use artificial intelligence or automated processing to understand messages, generate responses, make recommendations, summarize conversations or assist with other receptionist functions.

Automated responses may contain errors or misunderstand a customer's request. Janasi is therefore designed to allow business rules, configured information and human escalation to guide important interactions.

Businesses should not rely on Janasi as a substitute for professional, medical, legal, financial or other regulated advice.

7. Bookings and Business Transactions

Janasi may facilitate appointment requests, bookings, rescheduling and cancellations where the relevant functionality has been enabled.

Janasi does not guarantee that a particular appointment, service, price, availability or transaction will be accepted or fulfilled by the business.

The participating business remains responsible for fulfilling appointments and services and for resolving disputes concerning its products, services, payments or customer policies.

8. Fees and Subscriptions

Where Janasi services are offered on a paid subscription basis, applicable fees and billing terms will be presented to the customer before or during subscription.

Prices may change in the future. Where applicable, material changes to subscription pricing will be communicated before they take effect for affected customers.

Any trial period, promotional offer or discounted period is subject to the terms presented when that offer is made.

9. Acceptable Use

You must use Janasi only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not use Janasi to:

Additional requirements may apply under Janasi's Responsible Use Policy.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal information processed through Janasi is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Where Sacyric Services processes personal information on behalf of a business customer, additional data-processing terms may apply. These are described in the Data Processing terms.

11. Intellectual Property

Janasi, including its software, design, branding, documentation and underlying technology, is owned by or licensed to Sacyric Services unless otherwise stated.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Janasi's intellectual property to you.

You retain ownership of business information and other content that you provide to Janasi, subject to the rights necessary for Sacyric Services to provide and operate the service.

12. Third-Party Services

Janasi may depend on third-party infrastructure, communication providers, payment services, hosting services or other technology providers.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Sacyric Services is not responsible for independent third-party services outside its reasonable control.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep Janasi reliable and available, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available at every moment.

Service availability may be affected by maintenance, infrastructure issues, telecommunications providers, third-party services, internet connectivity, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

14. Suspension and Termination

Sacyric Services may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect Janasi, its users, customers or infrastructure, to investigate suspected abuse, or where continued use would violate these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using Janasi at any time, subject to any applicable subscription or billing terms.

15. Disclaimers

Janasi is provided as a business software service. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sacyric Services does not guarantee that Janasi will produce a particular business result, increase revenue, eliminate missed messages, or prevent every customer-service error.

Businesses remain responsible for reviewing their configuration and ensuring that the service is appropriate for their operations.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sacyric Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, Janasi.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, a business using Janasi is responsible for claims arising from its unlawful use of the service, its customer communications, inaccurate business information supplied to Janasi, or its violation of these Terms or applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when Janasi, our business practices or applicable legal requirements change. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised update date.

Continued use of Janasi after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Kenya, subject to applicable mandatory legal requirements.
